Resolving Stress - a mind-body approach

In this 6-week program, you will embark on a transformative journey of learning and deep, nourishing self-care. You will build a lasting sense of inner peace and presence and feel more resilient to everyday experiences.

Everyday experiences can trigger dysregulation of the nervous system, these can include going to work, getting your children ready for school, having too many responsibilities, being alone….and so the list goes on. This means that the body’s stress responses are often triggered frequently throughout the day, often outside of one’s conscious awareness. When the body’s stress responses are continually triggered like this, your nervous system takes you into ‘survival mode’. Living in survival mode is exhausting. It could leave you feeling hypervigilant, anxious, reactive and unable to relax or you could end up completely numb to all emotion and feeling very disconnected from yourself and others.

I have created a nurturing 6-week group program designed to bring you out of survival mode and help you feel more present, increase your capacity to cope with everyday experiences and feel more energised and stable in life.

You will learn;

  • Proven strategies to manage and reduce stress

  • Techniques to regulate the nervous system

  • Ways to increase resilience and emotional capacity

  • Practical tools to create a balanced and fulfilling life

PROGRAM OUTLINE

Week 1 - Nervous System Regulation

Understand your Window of Tolerance and body’s stress responses.

What does a regulated nervous system means?

Building capacity to cope.

Week 4 - Triggers Deep Dive

Mapping triggers.

Exploring emotions linked to triggers.

Building curiosity towards those triggers.

Week 5 - Limiting beliefs and patterns

Identifying limiting beliefs and destructive patterns.

Learning how to move through these.

Classes will be in the peaceful surroundings of the New Forest, in The Long Barn in Burley, Hampshire (shown in photo above). Each class will run for up to 1.5hrs and the size of the classes will be kept to a maximum of 4 people. There is onsite parking and refreshments available.

The next intake will start in April and will run for 6 weeks. The total investment is £360. As places are limited, please get in touch asap if you’d like to join the group. It’s helpful for me to gain some understanding of your background and what you’d like to achieve during the 6 weeks to ensure you’re a good fit for the course. Continue to build the capacity to cope with difficult experiences.

Practicing self-care like never before - expanding your tool box.

Week 3 - Interoception and Emotions

Interoception - how to really ‘listen’ to your body.

Exploring emotions and how they present in the body.

Practicing different techniques to help process emotions.

Week 6 - Integration and future-self

Integrating what we’ve learned, recaps and questions.

Connecting with your future-self.
